This market will resolve according to the country officially announced as the host of the 2028 Copa America. A qualifying announcement means an official confirmation by CONMEBOL of the country selected to host the tournament. Bid proposals, recommendations by member associations, and media speculation about the decision will not qualify on their own. If the tournament is officially announced as being co-hosted by more than one country, this market will resolve to the country CONMEBOL designates as the primary host; if no primary host is designated, this market will resolve to "Other". A qualifying announcement before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of any subsequent change to the host or to the scheduled dates of the tournament. If no host is officially announced by June 1, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from CONMEBOL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The Copa América 2028 host selection remains unresolved, with no official CONMEBOL announcement as of September 2026, leaving traders to price a wide field of contenders based on rotation norms, infrastructure readiness, and commercial factors. Multiple South American nations maintain credible bids aligned with traditional hosting cycles, while discussions continue around potential co-hosting or expanded formats involving CONCACAF teams. Recent meetings between confederations have highlighted logistical challenges tied to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, which could shift dates or venues and sustain uncertainty across options. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 50% for numerous countries, followed by Peru, Colombia, and others in the 25–40% range, reflects this open competition where recent form in prior tournaments, government backing, and stadium upgrades all influence sentiment without a clear frontrunner emerging.
