Colston Loveland enters his second NFL season as the Chicago Bears’ featured tight end in head coach Ben Johnson’s offense, building on a 2025 rookie campaign of 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns that included a dominant stretch of 790 yards over the final 12 games plus playoffs. The departure of wide receiver D.J. Moore has created additional target opportunities in an attack featuring Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden III, with Loveland’s expanded route tree, red-zone usage, and chemistry with the quarterback drawing consistent praise during training camp. Projections from analysts and sites such as PFF and ESPN cluster around 80–90 receptions and 880–1,100 receiving yards, positioning him as a candidate to lead all tight ends in yardage while competing for targets in a crowded skill group. His blocking development and versatility add situational value, though overall offensive volume and defensive attention will influence the final total.
