This market will resolve to "Yes" if any unmanned rocket owned or operated by Blue Origin explodes at any point during a launch, launch test, hot-fire test, or other testing operation between market creation and October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET . Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An explosion is defined as a violent and catastrophic event resulting in the destruction of all or part of the vehicle, regardless of intent or context (e.g., a planned termination event would also count). The resolution source for this market will be official information from Blue Origin; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. **Blue Origin's sole New Glenn launch pad at Cape Canaveral remains heavily damaged and offline following the May 28, 2026 static-fire explosion of the "No, It's Necessary" booster and second stage, which destroyed infrastructure including the transporter-erector and was traced to a faulty main oxygen valve on one of the seven BE-4 methane engines.** Reconstruction is underway with a revised concept of operations, including crane-based stacking and parallel second-stage testing at Stennis, but the company has publicly targeted a return to flight only by year-end at the earliest. No orbital missions are scheduled or feasible before late October, eliminating near-term launch risk. The prior three New Glenn flights (debuting in 2025) showed mixed reliability, yet the current grounding and engineering focus on valve mitigations and pad repairs have produced strong trader consensus that another explosion is improbable before the October 31 cutoff. Key upcoming catalysts include pad rebuild milestones and any announced flight-test windows, though none are imminent.
