Kyle Pitts enters the 2026 NFL season as the clear No. 2 passing option behind Drake London in Atlanta’s offense under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, coming off a career-high 2025 campaign of 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns. The 25-year-old tight end signed a three-year, $54 million extension in June after the franchise tag, securing his role through at least 2028 and aligning with the team’s emphasis on its core skill players. However, Week 1 production stalled at zero catches on one target amid quarterback instability, with Cooper Rush starting due to oblique and knee injuries to Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. Recovery timelines for the starters, target share behind London, and the Falcons’ limited wide receiver depth behind him will shape his season-long receiving yards, as will ongoing chemistry development in a pass-heavy scheme.
