Colston Loveland enters his second NFL season as the Chicago Bears’ primary tight end option in Ben Johnson’s offense alongside quarterback Caleb Williams. After posting 58 receptions, 713 yards, and six touchdowns as a 2025 rookie—with a dominant late stretch and strong playoff showing—Loveland benefits from vacated targets following the trade of DJ Moore and the departure of other receivers. He drew heavy usage in Week 1 despite a scoreless outing, running the most routes among pass-catchers in a high-scoring win over Carolina. Competition for red-zone looks remains from Cole Kmet and emerging wideouts, while a rookie tight end adds depth to the room. His expanded route tree and chemistry with Williams position him for elevated volume across 17 games, though touchdown totals will hinge on target distribution and goal-line opportunities.
