The tight clustering around 76-80% reflects New Zealand's recent turnout pattern—78.2% in 2023 and 82.2% in 2020—combined with a highly competitive multi-party contest. Current polling averages show National and Labour nearly tied, with the right and left blocs separated by only a handful of seats in most simulations, which historically encourages participation without guaranteeing a surge. The new enrollment deadline of 25 October, after which unregistered voters cannot cast ballots, introduces modest downward pressure that traders appear to weigh against the energizing effect of a close race. Advance voting data starting 26 October, final enrollment totals, and any late campaign developments that shift perceptions of the outcome's closeness could widen the distribution among the leading brackets before 7 November.

This market will resolve according to the official voter turnout rate for the 2026 New Zealand general election, defined as the total number of votes cast divided by the total number of enrolled voters (votes cast to electors on master roll, combined total of General and Māori electorate).
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, this market will resolve to the higher bracket.
If the results of this election are not definitively known by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official election results reported by the New Zealand Electoral Commission (https://elections.nz/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used if official results are not available.
