**Rockstar Games’ June 2026 price reveal locked in the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 at $79.99, driving the overwhelming “No” consensus at 98.6%.** Despite years of speculation that the most anticipated open-world title ever could break the $100 barrier for the base game, Take-Two and Rockstar settled on an $80 standard edition and $99.99 Ultimate Edition with story-tied vehicles, weapons, and apparel. This pricing, confirmed ahead of pre-orders and the November 19 launch, aligns with industry shifts toward $80 blockbusters while avoiding the backlash a triple-digit base tag might trigger. No subsequent adjustments have appeared in the months since, and pre-order data plus physical listings continue to reflect the original structure. A realistic upset would require an unprecedented last-minute hike or edition redefinition before launch, both of which appear highly improbable given the fixed pricing and pre-order commitments already in place.
