This market will resolve according to the team that finishes last in the league phase of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish last in the league phase, the associated market will resolve to "No". If two or more clubs are level on points, the ranking will be determined according to UEFA's official tie-breaker criteria as published for the competition. If the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League league phase is canceled or not completed by February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from UEFA. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The race for last place in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase stays tightly bunched among mid-tier sides because the expanded 36-team format pits clubs with comparable squad depth and recent form against overlapping schedule challenges. Early Matchday 1 results left teams such as Porto, Lille, Club Brugge, LASK, and Viking on zero points after heavy defeats, while sides including Feyenoord, Galatasaray, and Slovan Bratislava also started with losses and negative goal differences that traders view as warning signs. These clubs face a mix of stronger opponents in upcoming fixtures, limited rest between domestic and European games, and thinner benches that increase injury risk over eight matches. In contrast, elite sides like Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Real Madrid sit at low implied probabilities for finishing bottom, reflecting their superior attacking output and defensive organization. The wisdom of crowds in current pricing therefore highlights how small margins in results, home/away splits, and head-to-head history among the clustered contenders could still shift the ordering before the January conclusion.
