This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 New Mexico gubernatorial election. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.Deb Haaland holds a commanding lead in the 2026 New Mexico gubernatorial race as the Democratic nominee for the open seat, driven by her substantial fundraising edge—raising over $17 million compared to Republican nominee Gregg Hull's roughly $1.9 million—and consistent polling advantages in a state with a Democratic tilt. Recent surveys, including an August Journal poll showing her at 49% to Hull's 43% with 8% undecided, reflect strong support among key voting blocs and her profile as former U.S. Interior Secretary. Forecasters rate the contest as likely or solid Democratic. Trader consensus at 92.5% for Haaland incorporates these fundamentals, though shifts could still occur from late undecided voter movement, turnout variations, or unforeseen campaign developments before the November 3 election.
