Morena maintains a commanding lead in the 2027 Mexican legislative election market due to its strong results in the 2024 general election, sustained popularity under President Claudia Sheinbaum, and control of most governorships and congressional seats. Recent national polling shows Morena holding roughly 48 percent effective voter preference, well ahead of the PAN, PRI, and MC, while the opposition remains fragmented after the PAN ended its alliance with the PRI. The federal electoral process formally begins on September 10, 2026, for the June 6, 2027, vote to renew all 500 Chamber of Deputies seats. Trader consensus reflects Morena’s structural advantages and limited recent shifts in public sentiment. Potential challenges include a unified opposition coalition, significant economic underperformance, or major late-campaign developments that erode the party’s current edge.
