Alexander Zverev secured the 2026 US Open men's singles title by defeating Ben Shelton in the final, 6-3, 7-6(7-2), 5-7, 6-2, marking his second major of the season after the French Open. Trader consensus reflects this outcome with near-certain pricing on Zverev, driven by his consistent hard-court form, straight-set runs through later rounds, and resilience in early five-set matches against quality opponents. Casper Ruud's pre-tournament withdrawal due to a back injury eliminated a key contender early. While resolution appears definitive, markets at this stage could shift only in highly unusual cases such as official disqualifications or scoring corrections, though none have been reported.
