Romeo Doubs enters the 2026 season as the New England Patriots' primary outside wide receiver behind A.J. Brown after signing a four-year, $68 million free-agent deal in March. In 2025 with the Packers, he posted career highs of 55 receptions and 724 yards while scoring six touchdowns. His Week 1 debut with New England yielded zero catches on three targets in a loss to Seattle, including a deep ball intercepted. A.J. Brown's ankle injury sustained in that game could increase Doubs' immediate target share and red-zone opportunities in Drake Maye's passing game. Historical production shows consistent touchdown efficiency despite modest volume, though Brown's presence and other receiving options like DeMario Douglas limit his weekly ceiling for the full regular season.
