This market will resolve to "Yes" if the sitting Romanian Chamber of Deputies and Senate are dissolved by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market is official information from the government of Romania, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used. Romania has remained without a fully empowered government since a May 5, 2026, no-confidence motion backed by the PSD and AUR ousted the Bolojan cabinet. Two subsequent prime ministerial nominations failed to secure the required 233-vote majority in Parliament, leaving an interim administration in place amid a widening fiscal gap and warnings from rating agencies. President Nicușor Dan, who had previously ruled out early elections, signaled on September 15 that he no longer excludes dissolving Parliament to break the impasse, a move timed ahead of an October 2 S&P review and renewed budget talks. Constitutional rules permit dissolution after two rejected investiture attempts within 60 days, though it remains discretionary and requires consultation with party leaders. Recent polling shows AUR holding a substantial lead, while PSD continues to oppose snap elections, shaping trader assessments of whether negotiations will produce a viable majority or trigger parliamentary dissolution.
