Aaron Ford holds an overwhelming lead in trader pricing for the Clark County winner in Nevada’s 2026 gubernatorial race because the county’s urban, diverse electorate has consistently favored Democratic statewide candidates in recent cycles, and Ford secured roughly two-thirds of the Clark County vote in his June primary victory over Alexis Hill. Incumbent Republican Joe Lombardo, who previously served as Clark County sheriff, faces structural headwinds in the Las Vegas metro area despite his moderate positioning on taxes and economic development. Recent September polling shows the overall race remains competitive statewide, yet Clark County’s partisan lean and Ford’s local fundraising and endorsements reinforce the current market consensus on county-level outcomes ahead of the November 3 election.
