The 2026 Liga Profesional season features a split Apertura-Clausura format with group stages, leaving roughly half the schedule undecided and multiple clubs posting similar defensive records around 0.8-1.0 goals conceded per match. Leaders such as Belgrano, Argentinos Juniors, San Lorenzo, and Estudiantes (LP) have accumulated double-digit clean sheets so far, yet recent Clausura results show frequent 0-0 or 1-0 outcomes across zones without any side establishing clear separation. Fixture congestion, variable home/away splits, and the absence of a dominant backline or standout goalkeeper have kept the field tightly bunched, with trader consensus reflecting uncertainty over which team can sustain the lowest concession rate through the December finale.
