Jameson Williams enters the 2026 NFL season as the Detroit Lions’ primary deep threat and established WR2 behind Amon-Ra St. Brown in an offense led by Jared Goff and new coordinator Drew Petzing. After posting career highs of 65 receptions and 1,117 yards with seven touchdowns in 2025, Williams has drawn attention for expanding his route tree beyond vertical threats to include more intermediate options during a strong training camp. Target competition remains significant with St. Brown, tight end Sam LaPorta, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs sharing opportunities, while Williams’ focus on reducing drops could support consistent red-zone involvement. A minor preseason shoulder issue resolved without lingering effects, positioning him for a full 17-game workload. The Lions’ schedule and offensive scheme offer pathways for continued big-play production, though volume and efficiency will determine touchdown totals relative to prior seasons.
