This market will resolve "Yes" if the Peak Viewership of any qualifying 2026 VALORANT international event exceeds the Peak Viewership of the highest-peaking qualifying 2026 CS2 Major, as measured by Esports Charts. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No." "Qualifying VALORANT event" refers to: Valorant Masters Santiago 2026, Valorant Masters London 2026, Valorant EWC 2026, or Valorant Champions 2026 (Shanghai). "Qualifying CS2 Major" means either of the two 2026 Valve-sponsored Majors: IEM Cologne Major 2026 or PGL Major Singapore 2026. "Peak Viewership" means the peak concurrent viewer count for the event's main broadcast as reported by Esports Charts (https://escharts.com), excluding Chinese platform viewership, consistent with Esports Charts' standard methodology. This market resolves "Yes" if at least one qualifying VALORANT event's peak viewership figure is greater than the larger of the two CS2 Majors' peak viewership figures. The comparison uses each event's single highest peak-viewer figure across the full event. If a qualifying event is cancelled or not held, it is simply excluded from the comparison. If no qualifying CS2 Major or no qualifying VALORANT event takes place in 2026, or if Esports Charts does not publish peak viewership figures for the relevant events by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No." The resolution source for this market will be Esports Charts (https://escharts.com). A consensus of credible reporting may also be used where Esports Charts figures are unavailable or disputed.**Counter-Strike 2 Majors continue to post substantially higher peaks than VALORANT’s top international events, underpinning the 96.5% trader consensus against a 2026 crossover.** The IEM Cologne Major 2026 established new CS records with a 2.75 million peak concurrent viewers and over 100 million hours watched, driven by extended best-of-three formats, star international lineups, and broad regional fanbases. In comparison, VALORANT’s strongest 2026 results, such as Masters London at roughly 1.07 million peak, remain well below that threshold, consistent with year-to-date patterns where CS2 S-tier events lead in peak, average, and total hours watched despite fewer broadcast hours. Historical Champions and Masters peaks have also topped out lower than recent CS Majors. A realistic shift would require an unprecedented VALORANT Champions performance in Shanghai exceeding the Cologne benchmark on Esports Charts methodology, an outcome that current audience trends and structural differences make unlikely.
