Recent surveys show Democrats holding a substantial edge among young men ages 18-29 on the generic congressional ballot ahead of the November 2026 midterms, with leads reaching 30 points among likely voters in some polling. This positioning stems from post-2024 shifts, including declining approval for the Trump administration among this group amid cost-of-living pressures and economic uncertainty. Polling from Third Way, Pew, and others indicates young men are returning toward Democratic preferences seen in prior midterm cycles, though sizable undecided blocs and lower enthusiasm among some Republican-leaning subsets remain. Traders appear to weigh these demographic trends and turnout patterns heavily in the current pricing.
