Morena holds a commanding lead in trader consensus for the June 2027 Mexican legislative election due to sustained polling advantages of 35-46% intention to vote, well ahead of PAN and PRI, reflecting its strong territorial organization, high party identification, and continuity from the 2024 coalition success. The officialist bloc of Morena, PVEM, and PT benefits from unified control of the presidency under Claudia Sheinbaum and fragmented opposition parties contesting separately. Recent surveys through August-September 2026 confirm this positioning ahead of the formal process start on September 10. A unified opposition alliance or significant internal Morena setbacks from candidate disputes and state-level governance issues remain the primary factors that could narrow the gap, though current evidence points to limited near-term shifts.
