Jake Ferguson enters the 2026 NFL season as the Dallas Cowboys' primary tight end and a reliable short-area target for Dak Prescott in Brian Schottenheimer's second year as head coach. He posted career highs of 82 receptions, 600 yards, and eight touchdowns across 17 games in 2025 despite heavy target competition from CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Ferguson remains healthy after skipping the preseason, with Prescott highlighting his offseason growth and red-zone reliability. Projections center on 70-80 catches and 550-650 yards, supported by offensive continuity but tempered by a crowded skill group and historical yards-per-catch decline. Depth pieces like Luke Schoonmaker limit upside, while the full 17-game schedule and injury history remain key variables for total receiving yards.
