Amon-Ra St. Brown enters the 2026 season as the Detroit Lions’ primary slot receiver and top target for quarterback Jared Goff, coming off three straight campaigns with 115-119 receptions and double-digit touchdowns. His Week 1 performance of 10 catches on 14 targets for 67 yards and two scores against the Saints underscored his continued high-volume role and red-zone usage. Recent contract restructuring freed cap space while keeping him central to an offense featuring Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs, though the departure of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and a middling 2025 team result have shifted some scheme dynamics. Upcoming matchups against the Bills and the rest of a schedule that includes several favorable opponents will test his consistency, with injury risk and target competition remaining key variables in sustaining his typical 100-plus reception pace.
