Romeo Doubs enters the 2026 season as the New England Patriots’ No. 2 wide receiver behind A.J. Brown after signing a four-year deal in free agency from the Green Bay Packers. His 2025 campaign produced a career-high 724 yards on 55 receptions, but he has never reached 1,000 yards in a regular season. Week 1 brought a quiet debut with zero receptions on three targets against Seattle, yet Brown’s high-ankle sprain and potential multi-week absence could elevate Doubs’ target share in the short term alongside slot options like DeMario Douglas. The Patriots’ passing attack under Drake Maye faces competition from tight ends and running backs, while Doubs’ route-running and red-zone role provide a floor supported by his prior playoff production. Market pricing reflects the balance between his established volume and the crowded receiving corps.
