This market will resolve in favor of the team that finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most special teams and defensive touchdowns (kickoff return, punt return, blocked kick, interception return, and fumble return touchdowns). In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team with more total takeaways (interceptions plus fumble recoveries) during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the team with more combined kickoff and punt return yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to “Other”. If the 2026-27 NFL season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which team led the NFL in special teams and defensive touchdowns (kickoff return, punt return, blocked kick, interception return, and fumble return touchdowns) within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The early weeks of the 2026 NFL season keep the special teams and defensive touchdowns leader market wide open, with individual teams holding low implied probabilities that reflect high uncertainty. Return touchdowns and defensive scores such as pick-sixes or fumble recoveries depend heavily on game script, turnover creation, and opportunistic plays rather than consistent team strength. Offseason roster adjustments, new return specialists, and defensive scheme changes have yet to produce a sustained leader, while historical variability in these categories across recent seasons underscores the role of situational factors like weather, injuries to key coverage or return units, and coaching priorities. Trader consensus thus spreads probability across many clubs with no dominant frontrunner emerging.
