The Boston Red Sox hold overwhelming market consensus in this MLB longest win streak market due to their 15-game run from early July through late that month, which tied the franchise record set in 1946 and stands as the season's longest by a wide margin. No other club has approached that total, with the Cubs, Royals, and several teams posting streaks of eight to 10 games at various points while the Rays' current five-game surge remains far shorter. Late-September scheduling leaves minimal opportunity for any club to surpass 15 wins in a row before the regular season concludes. A realistic challenge would require an unprecedented hot streak from a contender like the Rays or another AL East club amid the final weeks' compressed schedule, though recent results and pitching matchups make such an outcome improbable.
