This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 Georgia gubernatorial election. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.Keisha Lance Bottoms holds a modest edge in the 2026 Georgia gubernatorial race for the open seat left by term-limited Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, with trader consensus reflecting her slight polling advantage in a competitive contest. Recent aggregates from July and August show the candidates essentially tied or Bottoms ahead by 1-4 points among likely voters, consistent with the market's implied probabilities. Jackson secured the Republican nomination in a June runoff by defeating Trump-endorsed Lt. Gov. Burt Jones through heavy self-funding exceeding $100 million, though the divisive primary left some party skepticism and limited his early general-election visibility. Bottoms cleared her Democratic primary without a runoff and has emphasized targeted tax relief and healthcare access, while Jackson promotes broad income-tax reductions and property-tax freezes. The November 3 outcome remains sensitive to turnout in key demographics and any late shifts on economic or social issues.
