Mark Teixeira holds a commanding lead in the TX-21 House race as the Republican nominee for the open seat vacated by Chip Roy. The district's solidly Republican lean, reinforced by recent redistricting and Donald Trump's 11.5-point margin there in 2024, underpins trader consensus reflected in the 93.5% implied probability. Teixeira secured the nomination with over 60% in the March primary, backed by Trump and other party figures, while raising over $3.6 million compared to Kristin Hook's roughly $154,000. Hook advanced from a less competitive Democratic primary. With roughly seven weeks until the November 3 general election, the outcome remains subject to shifts from major late developments such as scandals, health events, or turnout surprises in this low-competition environment.
