Incumbent Rep. Jeff Van Drew holds a strong position in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District heading into the November 3 general election, with forecasters rating the race Solid or Safe Republican. Van Drew advanced unopposed in the June Republican primary and benefits from the district’s consistent Republican lean, including prior support for GOP candidates in statewide races. Democratic nominee Zack Mullock, the Cape May mayor who won his June 2 primary, faces structural challenges in a district where national attention has remained limited. Recent activity includes Van Drew’s role in a September congressional hearing examining a New Jersey voter registration issue, though no new public polling has emerged to alter the competitive landscape. Trader consensus reflects these fundamentals and the absence of major late-cycle shifts.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
