Bryan Reynolds and CJ Abrams remain locked in a tight race for the MLB doubles lead, with Reynolds holding a slim edge at 36 through early September while both players continue to add to their totals amid strong late-season form. Reynolds has delivered multi-double outings and extended his on-base streak, bolstering his position as the Pirates push for relevance. Abrams maintains consistent extra-base production despite occasional slumps, keeping the Nationals infielder within striking distance. The market's narrow spread between the top two reflects this competitive dynamic, where minor surges or injuries could shift momentum before the season concludes, while lower-priced names like Matt Olson and Freddie Freeman trail significantly based on current season-long counting stats.
