Emeka Egbuka enters the 2026 NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ primary wide receiver following Mike Evans’ departure, positioning the second-year Ohio State product for elevated target volume in Baker Mayfield’s offense. After a 2025 rookie campaign limited to six receiving touchdowns amid injuries and a crowded room, Egbuka cleared a toe sprain to play Week 1, posting five receptions for 63 yards without a score in a loss to the Bengals. Supporting options include Chris Godwin, a recovering Jalen McMillan, and rookie Ted Hurst III, while the offense’s red-zone efficiency and Mayfield’s distribution will shape Egbuka’s touchdown opportunities across 17 games. Traders weigh his health, expanded role, and historical early-season production against the Bucs’ overall passing attack.
