Incumbent Republican Jeff Hurd holds a clear edge in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District heading into the November 3 general election, reflecting the seat’s longstanding Republican tilt and his primary consolidation. Hurd secured renomination with roughly two-thirds of the vote against a more conservative challenger, aided by fluctuating but ultimately restored Trump endorsement. Democrat Dwayne Romero, an Army veteran and former Aspen official, emerged from a competitive primary but faces structural headwinds in a district that has not elected a Democrat since 2008 and where Hurd prevailed by five points in 2024. With limited new polling or major campaign developments since the June 30 primaries, trader pricing aligns with the district’s partisan baseline and typical midterm incumbency patterns.
